I did my training in physical therapy at the TAF in Enschede, The Netherlands. After this training, I studied Manual Therapy Marsman and studied Acupuncture. Both physiotherapy and acupuncture I passed with honors. In the following years I have attended a number of courses and specializations. In 1992 I founded the Center for Physical Therapy, Acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
In 1989 I was allowed to lecture at the renowned Anglo-Dutch Institute for Oriental Medicine. I did that for eight years. From 1997 to 2008 I lectured at the Hwa-To University for Traditional Chinese Medicine, Internal Medicine, rheumatology, dermatology, gynecology and meridian-pathology.
I did not only lecture, but also received different trainings and courses. In 2015 I went to the Medical University Hospital in Shandong (Ji'Nan, China) for the first time and learned more TCM in depth. Aside from the personal lectures from Chinese doctors, I studied on a protocol for Chemotherapy Induced Neuropathy with them.
Meanwhile I've applied this knowledge in the Netherlands. 70 to 80% of the patients experience an improvement of their complaints. At the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ji'Nan, China I gave a guest lecture during my second visit and that gave me the idea to develop a curriculum based on my knowledge of 3DMT. Based on this curriculum I was assigned for 2 years to lecture 3DMT for Physical Therapy students.
